Centre for Analyses of Social Exclusion (CASE) was established in October 1997 with funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). It is located within the Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economic and Related Disciplines (STICERD) at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Centre for Research in Social Policy (CRSP) established in 1983, is based within the Department of Social Sciences, Loughborough University, UK.
